News Update: [December 24, 2007] SAIF, Inc. Debtor-in-Possession has filed an Emergency Motion for an Interim Order Authorizing Use of Cash Collateral and Granting Adequate Protection and Motion for Expedited Hearing Thereon.

This Motion and reasons underlying the need for such a motion are complex, but SAIF, Inc. wishes to communicate with Note Holders that the Chapter 11 Trustee for Secured Assets Trust and Management of SAIF, Inc. have divergent viewpoints on the expenditure of limited financial resources. SAIF intends to propose a plan of reorganization that returns the maximum amount of Note Holder funds, in shortest possible time, with minimal administrative expense. SAIF believes that Note Holders are best served by avoiding unnecessary and improvident expenditures on forensic accountings, outside business consultants and needless litigation. SAIF encourages Note Holders to communicate the same sentiment to Trustees of Secured Assets Trust.

On August 20, 2007, Van Dyke & Associates, APLC filed for bankruptcy protection in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of California on behalf of the firm's clients SAIF, Inc. and Secured Assets Trust.
